True Enterprise is the leading hardware store in LeRoy, Kansas.  True Enterprise is locally owned by Dale and Teresa True who began their business in 1979.  Dale and Teresa started their business out of their home with Dale doing electrical, plumbing and HVAC contracting and Teresa doing the business bookwork.

In 1989 the local lumber yard came up for sale.  The True's decided to purchase the lumber yard, adding their contracting business as well as a full line of supplies for any repair needs.  As the business grew, so did the stock, and the building was running out of space.  

In 2004 they doubled their retail space, added more parking and another drive to support their delivery trucks.  At that time, their daughter, Stacy True, began helping them out full time in every aspect of the business, and has now taken over running the retail store.  Around 2020 Dale decided to retire from the contracting world, but kept a full supply of contracting materials in stock for retail sales.

Today several contractors as well as DIYers utilize True Enterprise for their supplies.  This business is truly a family affair.  Teresa has fully retired from the day to day after having a stroke in 2023, so you will typically see Stacy when you come by during the week.  You get the pleasure of free advise from Dale when he slips in occasionally.  Along with their daughter, Stacy, the True's have 1 son, Brian.  You might even have the pleasure of seeing Brian help out when Dale or Stacy are away.
